2. What you are buying
Each purchase is a digital guide, with styling instructions, illustrative pictures, preparation advice and print or download options. No physical product, equipment, haircut or salon appointment is included. The optional hair-colouring safety guide is supplied for £0.00 only when you select it with a paid hairstyle order. It cannot be ordered on its own.
You need an internet connection, a current browser that supports HTML downloads and JavaScript, and an email address capable of receiving the order email. Downloaded guides use HTML format. Printing requires a compatible printer or your device’s print-to-PDF option.
3. Orders, prices and payment
Orders must be placed by someone aged 18 or over. Check your selections and email address before paying. Prices are shown in pounds sterling; the displayed order total includes any taxes we are required to charge. Each hairstyle guide currently costs £0.99. There is no subscription or recurring charge.
Stripe handles card payment. An order becomes binding when payment is confirmed and we accept it by issuing access to the purchased guides. If we cannot accept or fulfil an order, we will tell you and refund any payment for the unfulfilled items. A basket or an unsuccessful payment does not create a completed order.
We may change prices for future orders. A change will not increase the price of an order already accepted. If a pricing error prevents us accepting an order, we will offer the correct price for your agreement or cancel and refund it.
4. Delivery and access
After confirmed payment, we email an access code to the address entered at checkout. That code unlocks the guides included in the order. Delivery is normally automated, but payment processing or email delays can occur. Contact us if your code does not arrive or does not work; include the order reference and the email address used, but never card details. Check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.
Keep your access code private and save a copy of your purchased guides. If access fails, we will take reasonable steps to restore it or provide a replacement copy. Your own internet provider may charge you for data. We do not charge an additional guide delivery fee.
5. Your licence and the hairdresser exception
Payment gives you a personal, non-exclusive licence to view, save and print the guides you purchased. You may show a guide to your hairdresser, or give that hairdresser one copy to help style your hair. This permission does not allow resale, teaching from the guide as a commercial course, public uploading, mass copying or distribution to other customers.
Do not sell or share access codes, publish guide files or pictures online, remove rights notices, or use automated tools to copy the catalogue or bypass payment. We and our licensors retain any intellectual property rights in the content. Buying a guide does not transfer those rights.
6. Suitability and safe use
Results vary with hair length, texture, condition, the existing haircut and technique. Illustrations show the intended style; they are not a promise of an identical result on every person. This does not reduce our responsibility to supply content that matches its description.
Read the whole guide before starting. Follow the relevant product and equipment instructions. Do not carry out a step that causes pain, pulling, burning or another adverse reaction. Ask a qualified hairdresser where a cut or technique is beyond your ability. Children need adult supervision when using pins, elastics, products or heated tools. The guides do not replace personalised medical advice.
7. Cancellation and change of mind
You may cancel a digital guide order without giving a reason within 14 days, starting on the day after the contract is made. Accessing or downloading a guide does not, by itself, remove this right. Tell us by email or post using the seller details above. Any clear statement of cancellation is sufficient; you can use the wording below.
To the Pound Style seller: I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following digital guide(s): [names]. Ordered on: [date]. Order reference: [reference]. My name and address: [details]. Date: [date]. Signature: [only if sent on paper].
For a valid cancellation, we will refund the amount due within 14 days of being informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We will not charge a refund fee. Once an order is cancelled and refunded, stop using the refunded guides and delete the copies you control.
After the statutory cancellation period, we do not offer a change-of-mind refund for correctly supplied content. Your rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or undelivered content continue to apply.
8. Faulty content and complaints
Paid digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose made known and agreed, and as described. If it does not meet those requirements, you may be entitled to repair or replacement and, where the law provides, a price reduction or refund. This also applies to the optional guide where it is supplied as part of the paid contract. Rights concerning damage to your device or other digital content also remain in force.
Contact us with the order reference, affected guide and a description of the issue so we can investigate. Contacting us first can help resolve a problem, but it does not restrict lawful complaints, payment disputes or court rights.
9. Responsibility for loss
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or business losses arising from use outside the personal-use licence. Where a loss results from disregarding clear instructions or a use we did not authorise, responsibility will depend on what caused the loss and applicable law.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Misuse, availability and changes
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect the service or stop a material breach of the licence. Where appropriate, we will explain the restriction and give an opportunity to put matters right. A restriction will not remove statutory rights or automatically forfeit a valid refund claim.
Maintenance, security work or events outside our reasonable control can interrupt the website. We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and help affected customers obtain paid content. If we cannot supply content as agreed, applicable cancellation and refund rights remain.
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version accepted when you order governs that order; we will not use a later change to reduce rights under an existing contract.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protection provided by the law applicable to you. You may bring a claim in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law, including the appropriate courts where you live in the UK.
